>> mark: police are searching for a man that tried to kidnap a boy in the middle of the date 12:30 p.m.. they say the man approached the boy with candy and try to lure the child into his vehicle that was right around the corner when the board refused to go with the man, the man grabbed the boy by his arm and the boy was able to get away. the have more on the
search for the suspect. >>reporter: perhaps because he is just a child he was not able to give the police to make and model of the suspect's car, but he was able to give the investigators something to work with. the man is described as the following. >>reporter: even though he was able to grab the boy, fortunately the boy was not injured he ran told his parents exactly what happened. because they want to capture this man as quickly as possible to prevent him from doing this again, crime stoppers wasted no time offering a $2,500 reward for any information leading to his arrest. >>justine: a new report was released by a police group that is showing that the number of u.s. law enforcement officers killed in a line of duty has now
jumped 13% from the year before. we broke down some of the numbers for you, it shows that 173 officers died in a line of duty across the nation, that is up 153 deaths from last year. there was a rise in the number of deaths caused by firearms in all, 68 federal state and local officers were killed by gunfire in 2011. that is up 15% from last year. the reason they say is because of drastic budget cuts have forced the department to back off on training and delay updating equipment. >> darya: the time right now is 7:02 a.m.. taking a live look at san francisco, the skies are clear and it is warmer. speaking of warmer, thus did to the hot spot. >> george: these are yellow

sacramento hit multiple burns this morning forcing the pilot to call an in- flight emergency. this is video of the airplane on the tarmac as crews were looking for damage this morning. the plane was going to ontario, california. this started at 6:00 a.m.. not too long ago, we spoke live with a spokesperson from the airport. >> the plane landed safely and without incident. there are no injuries. the plane experienced very minor damage. there is still inspecting it. to err on the side of caution, the flight has been canceled and passengers are being rebuilt. says >>justine: the other southwest plane that had a problem blue to tires at sacramento international airport last night. no one was hurt. you can see from the video that the crews are on the scene investigating. a spokesperson we interviewed also told us that now southwest airlines is investigating what
